So, you followed your budget and allocated enough to your savings to go on that trip on your vision board. Now what?
You won't be surprised by my suggestion to use a spreadsheet.
There's a fine line between budgeting and 'saving' while on vacation. I'm not asking you try to stay under your budget or skip out on a once in a lifetime experience to stay under budget and 'save' money. You earned that money, saved that money, and now you deserve to use that money!
Traveling Tips:
*Get a Chase United Airlines card and book a United Vacation Package. By booking with your credit card, you and a guest passenger get one checked back and one carry-on each! We were traveling with four passengers, so we were able to get all bags included in our flight for free!
*Either use a credit card with rewards that has a zero balance at the start of your trip or the cash system. Using a credit card is preferable because you get rewards points, but don't underestimate the cash system. It really works for people that cringe at the though of breaking a $100 bill. You just need an easy way to track.
*Tracking for 'there's an app for that people.' Yes, there are, many of them. I've used 'Trail Wallet Travel Budget.
I used my spreadsheet in Vegas & had a blast within my budget!
Vegas Musts? The High Roller, Slotzilla Over Fremond, & jumping off the Stratosphere. I'm a thrill seeker!
I wasn't a huge fan of the big drinks everybody gets, but I did enjoy The Candy Martini Bar. Make sure to make a reservation!
I wasn't super impressed with the food, but the basic fish & chips from Gordon Ramsey's place was really good!
Gambling was fun, but we did not win :(.
Treasure Island was a great hotel to stay in that had plenty of food, drink, shopping, and gambling options.
